- [W] WAR - A representation of internal conflict, external resistance, and the violence required to rupture comfort and conformity. Expressed through harsh textures, militaristic silhouettes, tactical hardware, asymmetry, aggressive paneling, and protective layering.
- [D] DECAY - The slow unraveling and the breakdown of systems, egos, and false identities once held sacred. Expressed through frayed hems, raw edges, washed, decomposing & deteriorating textures. Entropy is articulated in form, mirroring the internal erosion of belief and structure
- [R] REBIRTH - The emergence of a new self forged through shadow work, pain and integration. Expressed through tailored futurism, experimental shapes, minimalism, utility, colour and elevated materials,
- (0) OUTLIER / HYBRID - Divergence beyond conformity. Garments may carry a mix of these three lines or may not even fall under given narrative. This is symbolic for parts of ourselves that don’t conform to certain structures and alignment that shapes our identity.
With this capsule, I utilize structure as an arsenal to express militaristic elegance within the [W] War line, emphasizing pronounced shoulders and panel padding as symbols of authority and defense.
While these forms are traditionally realized through heavy materials such as leather or denim, I intentionally chose a medium-weight cotton shirting fabric. This contrast introduces a tension between strength and vulnerability, armor that looks imposing yet feels exposed.
The choice reflects the act of acknowledging one’s ego, the first stage of Jungian shadow work. The garments stand rigid in silhouette, but fragile in material, embodying the moment where power is confronted rather than denied.
